- Mac OS X Support With Version 3.0, OpenOffice.org is now able to run on Mac OS X without the need for X11. Thus, OpenOffice.org behaves like any other Aqua application.

After receiving notification of the availability of Open Office 4.1.0, in which it was stated that the update was suitable for Mac OS X 10.3 onwards, I downloaded the relevant file … noting that it stated:OpenOffice.org 3.4.0 Beta for Mac OS X OpenOffice.org is a multiplatform and multilingual office suite and an open-source project. The product is free to download, use, and distribute.
